TikTok has released its top trends, from songs, hashtags, creators and videos, October has a vast catalogue of trends on the social media app.

One of the top trending hashtags is the latest food trend of #butterboard, amassing 193.2 million views. The trend has been dubbed "the new charcuterie board" by Australian influencer Michael Finch.

S.I.M.P (Squirrels In My Pants) [From Phineas and Ferb] is a top trending song, with creators lip sync and dance to the song from the Disney cartoon Phineas and Ferb. One such popular video features @caleb.finn, showing a second person joining in, dancing in the palm of the first creator.

TikTok isn’t just a platform for entertainment, with many using the platform to seek out information and education in a new and refreshing way. This is best demonstrated with currently trending creator Jenna Hudson, who uses her account to advocate for period positivity to her 1 million followers.

Passionate about ending period poverty, Jenna creates entertaining videos where she interviews and educates the public about the female reproductive system, along with some fun fashion and beauty content.
