Kaimera has been appointed as the media partner for MLC and will undertake planning and buying services to reach consumer audiences.

The independent media agency will work with MLC, part of the Insignia Financial Group, to deliver media strategy, planning and implementation.

Kari Arnison, general manager, Marketing Strategy and Execution, Consumer Markets, called the group's partnership with the agency a "pivotal step" in redefining its media presence and engagement.

"Their people, data-centric approach and deep comprehension of our sector resonated with us throughout the pitch process. We are confident that Kaimera’s dynamic strategy will support our initiatives and ambition to provide financial well-being for all Australians."

Nick Behr, CEO of Kaimera, was enthusiastic about the partnership and called it a "milestone" in the independent agency's journey.

"The shared vision and enthusiasm of our teams in Sydney and Melbourne are the driving force behind the innovative strategies we’re crafting for MLC’s next campaign," he added.

This appointment follows Kaimera’s recent client wins including CMC Markets, Scenic World, Strength to Give and Team Global Express.

The independent media agency also expanded it's media offering to Melbourne last year, launching an office in the Victorian capital alongside the appointment of Garth Moring as general manager.   Moring joined from Bohemia, where he was head of media. He has also held a range of senior positions across independent and network agencies.   Kaimera Melbourne cements the agency’s presence in a market where it already counts long-standing clients, including REA Group, Mastercard and GlaxoSmithKline.   Behr said at the time: “Opening a Melbourne office is a major milestone in Kaimera’s journey, and to have Garth heading it up is the icing on the cake. I would not have launched Melbourne with anyone other than Garth. Having known him for 15 years, I know we have the same values and vision for what makes this industry great – he is a true Kaimeran at heart, and we’re already feeling his positive influence on the business."   Read more: Kaimera names Garth Moring as general manager as the agency expands in Melbourne
